Newest Land On Earth (by mm767cap)

I have a love/hate relationship with the images I take with a telephoto lens. I love to hate them. I suppose practice makes perfect, and with a subject like this one, just having the memories from the day makes this image special to me. Taken while enjoying time with great friends Bruce Omori and Tom Kuali’i of Extreme Exposure, and Ryan Dyar.

I wished I had the Nikon 200-400mm lens for this one, as even at 200mm it was a smidge too far away. With the D800e’s incredible sensor, however, cropping doesn’t pose too much of a problem.
